What is Happening Here?

I know this looks a little odd, but the chicken is not dead!! Any guesses what is going on with my wife's Chickens? BTW, they are (from front to back) May, Sophie & Suzie.

Apologies that the focus is a little off, it was quite hard to see what I was doing!

Looks like they're having a dust bath - mine do that quite often, mainly in my flower beds where my seedlings are sprouting.

I would guess its having a 'dust bath' assuming it was moving, else sunbathing !

Well done everyone above - yes they are having a dust bath! It doesn't show up so well on the version uploaded to the Gallery, but on the full resolution picture you can clearly see the dust particles flying.
