Image of Hope

Photo Information
SG Window from a local church near where I live. The church was built in 1865. When they tore the church down to reconstruct a new one on the site, fortunately the stained glass windows were preserved and placed back into the new church.

I was prompted to post a stained glass image after reading a PU post.

If you go to the portfolio of davidwozhere and look at Forum items / topics created, you will find one on Old churches and stained glass windows. The article, with photos, discusses how some stained glass windows were produced using photographic images of real people. A fascinating read.

Like your professional approach in this image, the EXIF info was worthwhile to see how you went about the image - tried to get the davidwozehere info on stain glass windows, will try again - T

Wow -- Fame ! Stan started it all, so he needs some credit too!

There is a long American tradition of fine stained glass (Tiffany et al for example) and this one can proudly stand among the best. There are some stunning examples in the Metropolitan Museum in New York

You have caught the glowing colours of this one beautifully Donna.

Thanks everyone!

To those who read or posted comments to the article I mentioned....I went ahead and added just a touch of HDR. David, adding the hdr gave it the behind the glass glow you mentioned.
Cheers...Donna 😊
