Thanks for the comments lads, I was using the DA 17-70 Phill at it's maximum reach, it rapidly became my favourite lens for this kind of work after I got it. A great day Cliff, sorry about the fish n' chips, I'm still recovering from going base over apex on the door frame of the chippie
On a positive note, I found some info on repairing the Tammy 70-300 that you kindly gave me, I'll give it a go when I've got straight.
