I think Andrew (bwlchmawr) once commented on one of my pictures that the dying or seeding stage of flowers is often more beautiful than the flowering. I think he is right when it comes to certain plants.

Beautiful David, I have lots in my garden too, great DOF and pin sharp focus on seed head, thank you too for all your lovely and positive comments on my photos. Cheers Trixie

Sharp, nice.
If you make a small slit in one of these with a razor blade, it will reward you with a little white photogenic ooze.

Thanks Nuri, I have previously posted a macro of a poppy head (it is still in my portfolio) but I often prefer compositions as opposed to macro shots.
