Superb contrast yet retaining great tonal range, I love monos that display that lovely chrome/silver look - as you have to the right of the Rotunda - add that to the simple, great composition stepping from the rails all the way back and up to the deep sky and you've got a POTW contender

Thank you Ian! I converted using a Rollei Infrared simulation in DxO Filmpack.

Ahhhhh..... Now that I have seen it on my computer monitor I can tell it's not from an IR Camera! Still.... It is brilliant!! That filmpack does a nice job... but if you can or can ever afford an IR conversion or converted camera. Get one! Then try a polariser on it!!

This one passed me by, missed it in the thumbnails and is right up my street in B&W and infrared effect. Congrats on a very deserving POTW..Tom T.

I agree with every positive comment above. I do so like mono anyway, but this, this, captures so much. Not only technically excellent, (LennyBloke's comment are spot on), but it's the atmosphere, moodiness if you will that I really like, admire. Thanks for this. As you can tell, I think this a well deserved POTW. Congratulations.

It passed me by too. Wonderful vantage point put to full use - and the processing gives the result something again! Thoroughly well deserved accolade.
