"Bring me sunshine !"
The statue of Eric Morecambe on the sea front at Morecambe.
Photographed 1000's of times, but always worth another to remember the great comedy duo.
I chose landscape format and a black border to represent a theatre stage.

Many thanks for all your comments.
I've seen (and photographed) this scene several times before but on this occasion I was (for once) pleased that it was a dull day, as the soft light made it easier to show the details of the statue against the light background. Also with the low tide the mudflats of Morecambe Bay look like the stage behind him, with the cloudy sky and the pale coastline in the distance creating a stage 'backdrop'. Sometimes you DO get a bit of luck and I'm pleased I was able to share this with you.
Thanks again
Peter

A simple shot of a well loved entertainer but the photographic treatment makes this really stand out. Well worth POTW.

I've seen the statue, and the background, several times. It's not just luck, you've picked the right time, right light and captured this so well - it's an excellent shot.
