Lobster Pots, Staithes
by KatieW
Taken on the K7. I'm a bit nervous about uploading this as a first-timer to sharing my photographs. Here goes...!

Thank you so much, that's a great comment. You're right, Staithes is very much a Polperro - a lovely location to photograph. I'll keep shooting and posting as you say!

Thanks for that, I appreciate it. I started on a Pentax Spotmatic belonging to my grandfather and it has got me completely hooked!

I've never even held a Spotmatic but spent much of my youth drooling over adverts of them. You had a great grounding: my own son shot his AS/A2 photography project on his grandad's K1000.
I'm so glad you're hooked, Katie: it's a wonderful hobby and the old inter-web is a perfect way to share and learn and develop. And you live in Yorkshire: can't be bad!
Happy hunting,
Andrew

A really nice shot, makes me feel like I'm there, and yes the Spotmatic is a great piece of kit, had one in the 70s, as they used to say, Just Hold A Pentax. How right they were.
Good luck for the future.
Regards John.

Thanks so much for all your comments, they're really very encouraging. I love using the Spotmatic and it's also interesting to compare shots taken with that and shots taken with the K7. I'm on a big learning curve!

A tighter crop would look good, as would a wider view. This looks like a lovely place. Sort of Polperro without the crowds!
Keep shooting (as wide a range of subjects as possible.) Keep posting!
