Like. As you indicate, they were known for clandestine operations. Many an Allied saboteur dropped off, and picked up from, behind enemy lines in Lysanders. They were also used for reconnaissance and many odd jobs such as transporting personnel, delivering mail, etc etc etc. Lysanders were much loved by pilots over many years of service.
