Little Sparrowhawk

Very happy to have encountered this Little Sparrowhawk at Kloofendal Nature Reserve, Roodepoort, a place I visit about once a month. Occasionally it surpises me such as this occasion. There are a few Raptors in the Reserve, but never in my wildest dreams did I think I would see one of these there. I am an avid birder, so this one got ticked off my list- first sighting of this bird, and that makes me even happier. Not so happy about the poor little Weaver that it had caught, but then again, this is nature.
