Ice Fog: On The Prairie, Canada

by JudithAnn

The rightful name is Hoar Frost. It is terrible stuff to drive in...it kind of sounds like sand hitting the car as you drive through it......if you are driving at night you can see the tiny, tiny ice crystals reflecting off the headlights. it is horrible for visibility.
On the amazing photography side, this stuff transforms a landscape into a winter wonderland, as it freezes and whitens everything. My problem being on the prairie, is the fields simply disappear into the nothing-ness, and with no backdrop of any kind, it is a challenge.
