I am enjoying the different colours, logos etc on aircraft that you are posting.

Superb catch 1stEver and a superb Lens, very nice set recently.

Thanks very much...don't want to overdo them as appreciate a bit of a niche...but they do add a bit of transport variety to what is largely a landscape/travel/wildlife oriented site!

I'll post the odd one over the next 3-4 days then call it a day.

I really like this lens...got it a about 3-4 months ago from SRS Used section...great condition and superb optical quality.

It does however have its weaknesses...PF can be awful at times wide open...even at f/4 as well.
It's main downside though is its refusal to auto-focus at anywhere near infinity when paired with the K-5IIs unless using centre point only. Won't play with 5 or 11 point AF selected. It's ok at closer distances out to about 25-30 metres.

I won't be parting with it anytime soon though as its the best quality lens I've had the pleasure of using so far.

Luckily I don't mind MF...grew up with film SLRs and much of what I shoot is at infinity or close to so only minor tweaks to focusing needed anyway and centre spot AF is adequate for much of the time anyway.

Yes agree I agree with you're points about the Lenses weakness but you have figured out already how to play to its strengths. I will never sell my own copy as optically it is superb when one is used to it, despite reviews.
It makes a fantastic close up lens as well with beautiful render, nicer than macros in many cases IMHO.

Agree with your comment about close focus performance...it is very good.

Time for me to start posting aviation photos!? The 757 was always one of my favourite aircraft both from the outside and inside!

Please do Pauljay, I personally would be fascinated to witness the scenes from daily life of an air pilot from the times of a golden past.
