Female Golden Orb weaver

Hundreds of these about at the moment. The females are larger than last year due to a mild winter and more insect activity.

These have been in the news here recently as a couple of guys have manufactured a garment or two woven from the silk from approx 1,000,000 of these from Madagascar. The garments on display in the V & A museum
