Winged Jewel

by prsjnb

A male Emerald damselfly which, subject to confirmation, I believe to be a Willow Emerald (Chalcolestes viridis). If confirmed, this would, I have been reliably informed, be a first for Wiltshire.

Photographed at the the Blakehill Farm (WWT) Reserve (link)

Beautiful shot in every respect.

Highly successful image. DOF is remarkable, and the details, texture, colouration---among other qualities--sterling. Like a bunch.
