A striking capture and composition. Out of curiosity, do you know what plant it is? It looks too big for a dandelion seed head.

Morning Yorkie, according to my plant identifier its a Giant onion head, but I thought it was an Alium without the flowers.

Hi Sue. I'm surprised no one has pointed out before that it is actually an Allium since they and onions are all part of the same family.
Wikipedia even gives the following :- Allium giganteum, common name giant onion.
