David: good point. The caption refers to a filmed message from US Government in the 1950's, advising schoolchildren how to respond to a nuclear attack: "Duck under your desks and cover your head with your arms." (bomb shelters throughout the USA came later).
A more practical message would have been: ."..and kiss your a__ __ goodbye."
