Don't move, thanks

I am playing (messing) with layers and masks.
it is a new world to me.
i know its completely OTT but it is for research purposes.
I also know that in future attempts i will get the file as clean as possible in rawtherapee first before going to the paint shop

Theres nowt wrong with messing about Flan, as long as you enjoy it and practice makes perfect. Ive been messing about for a few years now but sometimes when i"m not happy with a shot, i"ll try something totally different as most pentax shooters on here do...tommyt.

Thanks tommy before i went out today, it just was a grey overcast dank day and i wanted to try my new polariser out. the day remained as described and even started raining.
this photo was taken into the light so the crow was underexposed by some margin and the background sky was bland and grey as could be.
A photo i would discard in a split second but i thought id give a go with layers so the sky in this is introduced in post process and a terrible mess it is but i think the crow came out of it well, a bit better

Playing or not, it exudes atmosphere. A rook with a purpose in mind.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Not my sort of thing usually - but you've created an atmospheric and interesting image here. If you can produce images like this when you're playing I can't wait until you take it seriously
