Our village from above... Le Grand Pressigny, Touraine du Sud.

Looking down on our typical French village from the Museum gardens...
down onto a higgledy-piggledy collection of rooftops.
Posh roofs are slate.... normal roofs are unglazed tile....
some houses that face onto the square...have slate facing the square and tiles at the back.
The square for the market and gatherings is from the church to the Mairie, which is the large building to the left of the church with the gothic portal.
There are about 1,600 inhabitants in the commune... less than 1000 live in the village!
