The William & Mary Wing at Hampton Court Palace

by user_removed

This extension to the tudor palace appropriated by Henry VIII was designed by Sir Christopher Wren. The view is of the south face from the Privy garden.

To test a new lens, I was taking a shot at each full aperture stop starting at f/16. Clearly it was windy with fast moving clouds as the sequence shows shadow retreating up the path and walls. This is the first image that's evenly lit by the sun and has a balanced exposure, even if it does have vignetting in the top corners. Since it's a 'record shot', I haven't made any perspective corrections. However, I have given it a HDR with graduated filter treatment in Google's HDR Efex.
