Colony of Miniature Flowers

by kasperbergholt

Colony of miniature flowers floating on top of various type of seaweed in Saint George's Lake in the middle of Copenhagen, end of June 2024.

Part of my 'Flora Excursoria Hafniensis' series that takes its part of departure in a 1848 work with the same title by Danish Botanist Salomon Thomas Nicolai, who was also the editor on the more widely known work 'Flora Danica'.

That's quite ethereal with the reflected sky as background.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Yes--water reflections grab the sky and drag it down to earth.

Thank you for the comment. I think it's the most etheral piece I've done to date.

The background is a reflection of the sky, but another level os seaweed about half a meter below the floating chunk of seaweed that has the miniature flowers on it.
