Stunning shot David , Lovely sunny weather over the week-end brought them out over here on Gower too.

We have several active colonies of mining bees on the grassy fringes of the dunes and you can be sure to see Bee-Flies there on a warm sunny spring day.

A little later In the year you often see females getting busy flicking eggs into the tunnel entrances of the mining bees.

The mining bees don’t appear to be on the decline though based on their activity in the summer months .
I hope I am right because in the last few year there has been constant attention from Bee-flies and bees generally are in a constant battle for survival

Lets keep our fingers crossed🤞🤞👍
