Bokeh and B&W

One of many large Fungi found on Brownsea Island at this time of year - I thought the silhouette looked better than the properly exposed image plus the background seemed to work really well. Probably not the most typical lens to use for this sort of shot but the FA*400/5.6 was one the K1 (ready for Squirrel activity) so I used it

Doesn't matter if it's 'inappropriate' if it works - This certainly works.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Yeah. We should all learn to use “wrong” lenses more often! Very fine, super-dramatic result. Like a lot.

Also agree with comments, as too what is correct exposure anyway when one is trying to convey an emotion or an interpretation of feeling

Silhouettes can create epic inages!
