Beyer-Garrett No143 hauls WHR towards Caernarfon

Photo Information
On our journey to Caernarfon we were hauled by No143 in green livery. (The return trip was behind No87, painted black seen in other postings on this gallery.)
This shot was taken from our carriage near the back of the train as we rounded a tight bend between Rhyd and Caernarfon, giving us this view of the loco and leading coaches.

Its good to see this picture of a very attractive railway. Incidentally you refer to the 'black' No.87. I have many pictures of it and it appears black in certain light and at other times its certainly very dark blue.

A most pleasant train photo, with the train well-placed in the frame and the steam prominent. Like.

Many thanks for all your comments.

And yes, David, you are correct as No.87 is officially described as being 'Midnight Blue'.

Thanks again
Peter
