A Touch of Swirl

Today we were playing around with a really old Russia lens (Helios 44 ,13 blade, M39 mount, 60+ years) that my son has just bought. It does this swirly thing to the out off focus parts which you can sort of see here. Currently the focus is stuck so it's a refurb 'project'. Wide open f2.0

Sorry that lens went home with my son, I'll try using my Helios 44-2 instead.
