Ever taken an image of a starry night sky and wished that the stars were pin sharp instead of trailing? Alpine Photography Labs blog has a free web tool that can help. 

Star Exposure calculator lets you input your camera make and model and the focal length you're using, and gives you a maximum exposure time that should produce minimal star trailing in your photos.

It's quick to use and great for those who are in the field with internet access or to jot a few notes down from for next time you head out.

If you haven't got a K3 or K30 but a K7?

Had a look through the Nikon models for a given focal length there was some variation but the Pentax duo remained consistently the same.

i'll presume I've got a K3 then,
