This is strange, very strange when you say "I quite liked it being more UK based", as a world wide experience is
better rewarding. There are a broader range of inputs, more how to, problem solving, DIY, tips and tricks, comparative studies, a wide member base contributing to more articles and help topics, and much more.
Note Britain is past the technical intelligence it once had, like say automobiles and manufacturing - we were proud of our Austins and still have one - so that finally the sun has set on the British Empire.
Do also note that we get to know of the special offers and low low prices from world wide Forums - so that you can coax UK Photo Stores to lower their prices.
Example we bought the K-5 IIs + original Grip + 64 GB Ultra SanDisk Card for $ 525 from the world's largest camera store B&H of New York. Adorama had still better prices.

One reason to prefer a dedicated UK forum is that shopping advice is relevant.

Another is that members share a common language and background.

Another is that there is no irrelevant stuff. There is not much point in talking about meeting up in Baltimore or Brazil when you live in Bootle. And if Bootleman does plan to go to Baltimore, he can join a US forum temporarily.

The fact is, that if an international forum were preferred by members, then we wouldn't be members here. N'est ce pas?
