Pentax has created a KP which supports both infrared capture and everyday photography.

The Ricoh Imaging website in Japan has listed a Pentax KP IR (infrared camera) but it won't be on general sale any time soon.
Designed for researchers, the Pentax KP IR will capture both infrared and visible light which Ricoh Imaging says will help speed up the work of researchers as well as bring a new perspective to their work.
The IR version shares many of the specs seen on the Pentax KP so you're not missing out on much anyway (apart from IR photography, of course).
There are no focus issues, & easy framing with a opaque filter on the lens. Both my converted mirrorless systems are still capable of taking normal images too.
Despite it's age the K-01 makes more sense as a IR system.
I suspect this might be an attempt to clear some stock of 2 year old bodies
