Pentax Introduce New UD And V Series Binoculars

Pentax has updated its binocular range with colourful UD additions as well as the innovative VD model.

UD Series

Pentax has a few new additions for the Pentax binocular line-up which includes the UD series, the VD 3-in-1 binocular and the original VM monocular. 

UD Series 

UD Series The UD series is the lightest in the range of Pentax binoculars at around 195g and there are two options available: 9x21 and 10x21. On the 9x21, every lens and prism is multi coated to ensure a bright and clear view and there is a choice of 5 colours available. The UD 10x21 benefit from a higher 10x magnification and also come in a stylish two tone design and with a multi coating on the main lens element.

VD 4x20 WP 

 VD 4x20 WP
The VD 4x20 WP give you 3 options in one as not only do you get a pair of binoculars, detach the lens barrels and they’re transformed into two monoculars and then if you join the two lens barrels together, they’re converted to a powerful 16x telescope. Every lens element has received a multi coating, they have a minimum focussing distance of 50cm and the strap can be shared, if two people are using the VD 4x20 WP.

VM 6x21 WP

VM 6x21 WP
The VM series monocular has been ergonomically designed to be used with one hand and there are also two accessories that can enhance the performance. These can both be bought together with the VM, or separately depending on the intended use. The smartphone adaptor (V-SA1) allows you to use the monocular and capture the image straight to your device, taking advantage of the 6x magnification while the macro stand (V-SM1) with LED light can be used together for 18x magnification.

I already use their Papilio II bins which I bought principally because of their macro capability for insects, etc.
