Ricoh has announced that the Pentax 645Z medium format camera is to make its first UK appearance at Calumet Photographic, London.

The event, taking place between 10-4pm on 28 May 2014, will be a chance to see demonstrations, talk to the experts and find out more about the camera, as well as trying it out for yourself.

Calumet Photographic is located at 93-103 Drummond Street, London, NW1 2HJ.

Makes sense. Last time I looked I think Calumet sold a Sigma lens with a Pentax fit...but then again they were always on back order

Ricoh has to make inroads into the main professional brand territory - that is the market Calumet serves. The 645Z is more likely to be adopted by professionals if it is in Calumet's outlet.

It is disappointing to note that of all the many brands on their home page - not a hint of Pentax/Ricoh let alone this launch.

From experience, the rest of us know where to do our business - when we can afford to. I don't mind the wait.
