Pentax has announced a firmware update for the K-1 camera, bringing a fix to allow stabilisation of the HD 55-300mm lens.
The update also brought improved stability for general performance and allows the camera to control the aperture of KAF4 lenses which have an electromagnetic diaphragm rather than the traditional stop-down lever.
The only lens currently available with the new KAF4 mount is the DA 55-300mm f/4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR RE. This lens is due for release shortly.
For more information and to download the firmware, take a look at the Pentax website.
