Your lens list... like the Pentax RoadMap

Hello,

I've done this small one page lens list, presented "like" the Pentax RoadMap. A good way to have a one page view and see where I have overlaps and gaps .

In red Pentax lenses; in green the lenses from Sigma.

Regards.

Malsi

Shouldn't the 50-500mm be f4.5-6.3?
No equipment list here but thanks for taking an interest. My Flickr

I like it, but I don't think I'll try and do the same for my lenses, especially if I include all the manual ones. Just the 50/55mm lenses would fill half the screen...

I would certainly never admit that I sketched out something similar once I had focal length along the top, but ordered them by max aperture down the side. Makes it easier to see where the gaps in capability are and helps justify the LBA
Panasonic G80, GX80, Pentax K-1, Pentax K-3, Pentax MX, Mamiya 6.

It could be interesting to develop something ... You enter all your lenses and you can sort them as you wish with a nice graphic and some photos.

This is actually a very interesting way to summarize your lenses.

Now I use an excel file to do the similar thing

Neat idea but I am trying to keep my lens numbers down so I don’t take everything out “just in case”. Somehow I have ended up with several zooms and two specialist primes and would like to add a couple of ace primes but then there is the reaction “not another lens, how many is that now? And what did that cost?” To which is the mumbled reply “er, um, not sure, can’t remember.....” does that sound familiar?

Fortunately my latest lens was only £129.00 so I came clean on that one. Maybe I gave the impression they were all about that, can’t say for sure.:

Not sure my list would fit on a table like that. Well it might do if it were A A0 size.

Besides it's not all about focal length, different lens have different characters. (Or is that just another of my "excuses" )

It's not just another excuse, but the other characteristics do tend to be more difficult to quantify.

I can't see there's much point in me attempting a graphical display. I have over 100 lenses usable on my Pentax K mount cameras, without including those usable only for macro.
There are several places where I'm well aware of overlaps such as swaps or the F100-300 & DA 55-300. I don't see charting it will encourage me to sell the lesser used models.
