Not sure its worth almost £50 just for a hood. i have looked at that one but if thats the cost then i will live without one or buy a third party one.

I find if you can't get the real thing then a Hoya rubber one that folds back to allow for wide or forward for tele. works a treat. I have a couple on some of my older lenses which don't have hoods.
CHEERS Vic.
Born again biker with lots of Pentax bits. Every day I wake up is a good day. I'm so old I don't even buy green bananas.

Why don't you opt for a reversible MATIN hood? Go to evilBay and do a worldwide search for 'MATIN XXmm lens hood' (XX = front lens thread size). It's double threaded and has a 3rd twist-lock hood thread to reverse fit the hood.

It also allows for the cap and filters to be fitted. It's arguably the best solution to a common problem without paying stupid money for the OEM item. It's sent from S. Korea. The hood is plastic with a metal ring and it can be a tight fit, so you may have to shave off any excess plastic and apply a little lube for smooth fitting. Otherwise it works like a charm (I've bought 2) and one went on an 80-200/2.8 lens and looked the business.
