WTB: Pentax K-5 and UWA
In my day we used to make pinhole cameras out of cornflakes packets rescued from people's bins. Couldn't afford cornflakes ourselves, of course. Just a little oatmeal and some salted herrings.
We'd save up all year so that we could afford to buy half a pint when we graduated.
And our parents thought we had it easy.
Times have changed.

Most students spend their loans on going out and getting wasted every night; I spend mine on photography gear because I'm more interested in the future, and my career, than I am on "getting messy" - something I've never enjoyed anyway as you just feel like rubbish afterwards.
When I go out on a night out, it's with my K7/Kx and Metz 58, and I take photos of everyone ELSE getting drunk and doing stupid things. Occasionally I make a bit of money from it, but usually I just do it for myself and the experience

Currently on a Pentax hiatus until an FF Pentax is released
Good luck with your search.
Did you have to lick t'road clean wi' your tongue as well, George?
Roads? Roads? There were no roads, our Chris. A few drovers' paths over t'mountains, and the odd track through t'mire, but roads, no. We wasn't in some soft Soothern ivory tower, we wasn't. It were hard graft oop North where we was, it were.

I'm glad you took my post as intended, and I am glad you will be able to remember your university years. Sounds as though you'll have some good blackmail material.
Good luck with your search.
Nothing wrong with a bit of banter And not quite blackmail, I'm far too kind for that but on several occasions I've actually used the photos captured for my coursework; allows me to the typical student thing of not really doing any work in the first year
OMG i can't handle it a bit of humour breaking out on PU!
Just one of the many reasons why I recommend PU to everyone Just try that over at Pnet haha.

I'm also looking for a nice rectilinear UWA, something like a Sigma 10-20 or a Pentax 12-24.
Budget is: "as low as possible", due to being a student and still having to pay for food out of the remainder of my loan
