Will a Sigma Hyperzoom fit on an ME Super and meter ok???

Can anyone help me please? I have found a bargain multipurpose lens (I understand that I would have to focus manually but I need to know:

A. If it will fit on a K mount ME. I suspect yes.

B. Will the aperture priority mode work. Again, I suspect yes but I would like to know for sure.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks

All Pentax fit K mount lenses will work on all Pentax bayonet bodies but the features available will differ. So, for example, M series lenses have no 'A' setting so cannot operate in shutter prioroty mode, but they are fine for aperture priority and manual modes. Screw mount lenses can be fitted via an adapter, but have to be stopped down to working aperture to meter.

So, within some limitations, which may or may not be of importance to you, I would expect the lens you are interested in to be useable.
Best regards, John

Further to John's reply...
A: Definitely. Mounting is no problem at all.
B: Aperture priority or manual are your only options on the ME (if the lens has an "A" setting, you cannot use it, you must always have a specific aperture set on the lens ring).

Yes, it will meter okay - as well as any other lens

Hope that helps,
