Assuming you're a novice on this, I think the first step is to understand the basic concept. The best way of thinking about it is that you're connecting your iPhone/iPad to the camera and not the other way around, since it's the camera that transmits the Wi-Fi signal that you'll join from your device.
First step is to download the Image Sync app from Apple's App store using your mobile device, the App is provided by Ricoh and should be easy enough to find with a quick search in the App store.
Once you have that installed, there is some how to guides within the app, but I'll quickly run through them too.
1. Turn Wi-Fi on your K-S2, this will start transmitting the SSID signal
2. On the same page where you turn on the Wi-Fi there's a second page called 'Communication Info', you'll need to open this for the password you'll need for when you connect using your device.
3. On your device, Settings > Wi-Fi you should see the transmitted SSID like a Wi-Fi hotspot, it'll be named something like PENTAX_####
4. Select, click join and add the password, at this point. Your camera & device should now be connected.
5. Go back to Image Sync app and you should now be able to transfer images from your camera to your device and use the remote control feature too.
Any questions, please fire away since I know this is quite brief.

Image Sync to iPad works very well. Actually better than Nikon's Snapbridge (Canon's offering is not much better!)
The only 'snag' with Image Sync is that you can only download files in their original size, whereas Snapbridge does give you the otpion of 2MP files.
I don't use this as storage, but as a means to share images (such as on Flickr or Instagram).
