Who needs a trioplan? I took my Primotar out ....

Yes, I do have a couple of Meyer Optik Trioplan 105mms and I like them a lot but a Trioplan 100mm will cost you between £500 and £600 in M42 and £400 - £500 in Exakta mount. You can get a Primotar 135/f3.5 for about £100 and it's almost the same lens, delivering that controversial bubbly bokeh with its near circular 15 blade iris. Today's bright sunshine guaranteed the highlights off the holly and laurel in our local woods where spring is just making itself felt.

1. Dead beech leaves almost seem glued to their branches, making them great subjects for backlighting. Now we get a 'forest' of bubble bokeh to go with them.

2. Winter's days are numbered now as spring greenery creeps up behind it.

3. Buds are breaking on the trees everywhere.

4. Even this discarded vodka seed has germinated and the seedling is drunkenly seeking the sunlight.

5. It isn't all bubbly bokeh however. It is quite capable of taking excellent conventional pictures.

6. Since the holly trees have provided most of the bokeh I'll let it have the last shot - and an overdose of bubbles!

+1. They do, especially 5 & 6.
Be well, stay safe, but most of all, invest in memories

Lovely contrast and colours. Jury is out on the bubbles though, but erring towards OK.

Best regards

I think you've just caused a revision of the Oxford English Dictionary Gareth !
