I'd like some hands-on help in Hackney in using the gun with my k10d and would happily pay a bit for your time and throw in lunch. anyone local-ish and experienced in, for example, using it wirelessly, with older lenses, synched with another metz (if possible) and so on. I've already gotten mattmatic's excellent booklet and am now ready to supplement this new knowledge. thanks in advance!

Just to add... might be arranging a little meet for flash tutorial
Anyone else interested? (Or does that just make it way too complicated??)

Could just about make a Sunday afternoon...
TBH it would be easier for me to do it in the week. I can then take a day off work and spend a whole day.

Here's a suggestion (actually more of a heartfelt request)

Somebody please video the session (whenever it is), and post it here.....

(As neither Sunday or a weekday will do me any good - being 5 timezones away )

Hey Matt , what about just creating a video and then distribute to interested parties in a similar way to your flash guide?

Even better why not ask Danny to shoot the video with the K7?

about just creating a video

"Just"? I wish video was that easy for me Whenever I've done anything with video it's taken me about 100x longer than the footage to get anything sorted. Taking the video is one thing... producing it into something usable is another.

I was looking for a small informal group, but I'll bear those requests in mind!

I appreciate the difficulty, apologies if this came over as flippant.

The thinking behind the post was to enable as many forum members as possible to benefit and for you to maximise the returns for your efforts.

Maybe another forum member would be willing to help with this project?

No problem Steve TBH, I find video rather trying
(And I have to be careful how much I do at the moment )

Another issue is that I don't really have a location that's suitable for videoing Still, if someone knows anyone with a studio we could borrow (or if someone is willing to stump up some cash to hire one) then that may be possible

I know what you mean about video, I am hopeless with a video recorder and find editing very tedious.

Sorry but I think this thread is getting a bit off my original intention, which is to hire someone to give me one-to-one help in London.

I may well take a trip out to Brighton, to bask in mattmatic's expertise but is there anyone else in London who has a lot of experience with the Metz 58? Thanks.
