Which old Pentax lenses to look out for?

Having just bought the Tamron 17-50 f2.8 off this very forum I've been looking around at other fast lenses such as the tamron/sigma 70-200. Unfortunately these are a little bit pricey, even second hand, for someone with a house move on the cards in the coming month.

So I've been looking at some of the older f2.8 lenses, 70-135 etc but it's hard to know what's good and what's old tat! I'm happy with manual focus but think I'd definitely prefer auto metering etc. I've still not got to grips with the 50mm f1.7M if I'm honest!

So what should I be looking for?

Bojidars website is the perfect place to know about K-mount lenses.

http://kmp.bdimitrov.de/

It gives you a list and specs of practically all K-mount Pentax lenses.
Some are readily available, some rare. But worth a read nevertheless

The Only thing it does not do is describe how they perform, but of course they are Pentax lenses, so will be fine........

Hope it helps

Thanks - that's a fairly comprehensive list of lenses by anyones standards!

I've also been looking at brands like cosina and vivitar, are any of these worth keeping an eye out for?
