Interesting picture of something so familiar that it's usually overlooked. Nice 3-d feel to it. Technically excellent as usual.

Reminds me of a galaxy with a super-massive black hole at its centre!

Excellent use of the mundane. I too have wondered about the pupa.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Thanks for your generous remarks, all.

I don't hold out much hope for the chrysalis to be honest. It is outside in the open, taking its chance but it does seem to have become a lot "slimmer" over this last couple of months.....
I do keep a regular eye on it & if anything happens, I'll post on here. Though, in theory, it's not meant to emerge 'til next spring/early summer!
