If you like the K2 you should try the K2DMD...

I own three K2s but none of them is fully working due to their tendency to get gummed up inside and require a very deep CLA to fix.

Tempting. But they go for quite a lot of money. My new K2 came with a pristine SMC K 50 1:1.4 which I reckon was worth £75.00 on its own. As the total package was £100.00, that prices the K2 at £25.00. Quite a bargain for a little-used and well cared-for camera.

If I use the same logic to calculate what I paid for my K2DMD in the package it came in then it cost me zero. But those kind of opportunities don't come along often.

After many years of trying without success. I managed to get access to the iconic balcony of the County Hotel for the Durham Miners’ Gala.

I had given up two years ago, but a half a chance came along and within a few days I had accreditation and a Media Pass.

As they say “shy bairns get nowt”

Pentax and Sony kits were ready but I went for the Sony

You have just turned back the clock by 50 years for me, I had a very good Geordie mate and I was invited up to see the Miners 'dance the banners in' what a spectacle that was, one never to be forgotten. Thanks.
Just passing thru

Got a lovely vintage K10D in excellent condition the day before yesterday. This is my first camera with a CCD sensor and I start to get what people see in them.

That's a nice piece of kit Barrie. Particularly like the leg lock system.

Does this count?!

Bought as its costing me circa £200 a month of fuel back and forth work. This little 125 apparently does over 100 miles to the gallon, cost me a whopping £8 to fill the tank. Love being back on 2 wheels, just in time for the winter......!

A 20L Dehumidifier, not only condensation on the windows lately but having Fungus on 2 lenses (so far not checked them all) made me get one.
Had a dehumidifier years ago that lasted a very short life IIRC.
I binned my secondhand Vivitar 75-205 f3.8 sadly, no chance trying to clean it, bit sad as I really liked it. Also my other secondhand lens a Pentax DA 50-200 WR ED F4-5.6 zoom has what looks like fungus beginnings on the inner elements, I had noticed in PP some loss of sharpness not on the outer edges. Slim chance of cleaning that too I suspect, also I couldn't get the front lens element ring off to start with.
I've named it Hughie

To answer a need for speed, well more of a desire for more bokeh I've added a DA50mm f/1.8 to the collection. I'd have loved the HD70mm f/2.4 Limited that's been teasing me on MPB, but for now the budget just stretched to the 50mm.
