Drove to Dublin yesterday and purchased a used Apple Thunderbolt 27 inch display for the bargain price of 200 euros.
The lady selling it, bought it from the office she works in and it was her Monitor that she used in the office as the firm upgraded there set up displays but she found it to big for her home and really wasn't using it so just wanted what she paid for it.
Pristine condition. no chips or scratches on glass or aluminium chassis, like new
I have just put the thunderbolt connection into my late 2013 21 inch iMac base model and up she comes instantly on my (new to me) display and the iMac can support resolution .
Absolutely delighted with the quality and sound and its a big step up in real estate as americans would say

Pulled the trigger on an 18 - 135 lens the other day. I have a 17 - 70 but it is getting a bit unreliable so I got this one used from Wex I know they are not perfect but it should make a good carry-about lens.

Barrie. That F 24-50 should be a fabulous performer but beware that the front element is just that - right at the front and very vulnerable.

The K-x also seems OK so far. It had the original firmware so I upgraded that (allows SDXC cards) and I have been into debug mode a little to start the process of fixing the back-focus problem it has. It seems the same for all my lenses so I don't know how the previous owner got through 17K shots with a significant back-focus. Maybe he only used it with the kit lens at f/8 and it wasn't that noticeable.
