What's your latest acquisition?
I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of SMC Pentax k 28/3.5 from Japan, 3rd purchase from there, going back to all manual.
The K 28mm f/3.5 is a really nice lens.
I've ordered a 2nd hand GR III
It arrived today, cheaper than usual used prices because of a mark on the sensor. Thankfully the mark turned out to be a very stubborn dust spot that moved around as I used the Dust Removal feature. Eventually the dust spot fell off and I have myself a working GR III!
Blaming you guys as usual for introducing me to Sean Tucker!

Great choice Haris - that's my only criticism of the GR series (the lack of dust/WR sealing) - otherwise one of the best "pocket" cameras I've ever used
(Compulsive Obsessive Lens Buying Addiction Syndrome)
What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!
but even then the Q-S1 isn't exactly pocketable with a zoom lens attached.
What's the zoom range of the lens on the GR III??

It's a variable zoom Steve - depending on how far forward and back you can walk

All of 5MP and TINY - Q and stuff added to give a sense of scale. When I saw it, with that cool charging station at SRS, I couldn't resist - well, I've spent hardly anything over the last couple of use on account of that there pandemic. And it is (I think, though no doubt some smarty-boots will let me know if I'm wrong :roll the last Optio compact with a viewfinder.
Some pics will no doubt get posted when I get around to some serious testing.
Some people call me 'strange'.
I prefer 'unconventional'.
But I'm willing to compromise and accept 'eccentric'.
Will give it a try out this weekend

Have seen a few Pentax bits on eBay from Japan. Do you get clobbered for import tax etc when receiving them?
So far I have had to pay the item cost and delivery to UK. The big plus for me is that the lenses that I have bought have been very accurately as described in the listing. Regards John
