You could try a k5 at round the 300 mark

No other manufacturers have made K mount DSLRs for quite a while.
I'd second Stu's suggestion of a K5, but think you should be able to track one down for no more than £250.
It might be worth getting a quote for repairing your Kr before deciding what to do.

If you were contemplating buying another DSLR at all, then it would make sense to me to replace your Kr with a later Pentax body. Then there's no problem using your Pentax lenses. There won't be any advantage to changing marques and continuing to use your lenses with adapters, even if it's possible.
Best regards, John

All Pentax lenses are compatible at some level (often no AF) with most modern mirrorless cameras via cheap adapters.
Almost no Pentax bodies offer AF in video mode, so there's no real loss of functionality, from a video perspective that is.
The original K-5 is mighty old in tech years now. I wouldn't pay much for one, but it's also the last Pentax body to still have real mechanical SR sensor stabilisation during video, which is pretty cool.

Another Rec for the K5 - superb camera, especially for the little money they go for now.
Also a Rec for Darkmunk - great guy to deal with

There is so much to commend the K-5, and it's shake reduction in movie mode is arguably better than this feature in all other Pentax DSLRs. The K-30 and K-50 are approximately the same price, but not quite so good or reliable (aperture failure can happen - although not with the two in my family).
If money is short the the K-r can be found used for approx £100. Also the K-01 can be had for the same price, but it's a mirrorless body rather than a DSLR, only providing the rear screen for viewing. Very few on the market these days and it's one of these cameras people either like or loathe, but at least it will work with your K mount lenses.
I'd also endorse recommendations for Darkmunk, having traded with him previously.
Hope you find what you're looking for

Other manufacturers used to make film bodies with the K mount. There's a useful page on Wikipedia here that describes the K mount incarnations and cameras that used it showing 21camera makes and 65 lens manufacturers.
Since digital though, I can only think of Pentax themselves who make cameras with the K mount.
As others have said, if you have a reasonable lens collection, why change brands? There's quite a few newer ones to choose from. If you prefer something fairly lightweight, there's the K-30, K-50, K-70, K-S1, K-S2 and KP to choose from (those will work with AA batteries with an adapter if that is an issue.) If you want something more substantial there's the K-7, K-5, K-3 or even the full frame K-1. (Nothing wrong with a Kx either but I'm sure you'd find a newer model would be better!)
So plenty of choice! What are you wanting out of a new camera as someone here may be able to help if they have one to move on?
Have you investigated getting the Kr repaired? Guess it might not be cost effective.

I have a K30 and 18 - 55 lens boxed. These are in in great condition. The shutter count is not high. I am looking for £200 including postage. Pm me if you are interested.

Unfortunately my Pentax Kr has given up the ghost and just won't go into focus when you switch it to AF I don't know whats wrong with it as I've tried the same lenses on my old K100D and they focus perfectly so I just can't seem to find another body that can take movie as well as still at a budget price as I can't afford to buy new so thinking rather than have lenses I can't use I could buy another manufacturers body and still use my old Pentax k mount lenses.
So looking for something like another Kr, Kx or some other body as long as it takes movie files
Thanks
