Congratulations to the new father and his son

yes the proud mother had something to do with the event as well

Congratulations Will and Mrs Will! That has to be the best Christmas present anyone could wish for.
Get lots of photos of him - he'll be all grown up before you realise .

You might consider asking the Easter Bunny for sleeping pills...
By then you'll need sleep more than chocolate...

Misery enjoys company .

A brilliant song by a very talented ( if troubled )artist ( Emilie Autumn ).

Anyways,
I got from Lesley, for some strange reason, a Didgeridoo. I can get a reasonable tone out of it, with some rhythmic punctuations, but as soon as I try the circular breathing, I try to swallow it

My mother bought me a small camera backpack. Just big enough for what I usually carry with me on a day out, so that is perfect!
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

My wife bought me this book by a professional Greek photographer when we visited the Island of Lemnos this summer. He had a shop in Myrina (the town in the photograph) and I always stopped to admire his work.

I love the way the outline of the Kastro mirrors the silhouette of Mount Athos in the background.

The book itself is divided into subsections dealing with Landscapes, people and culture, and flora and fauna

Speaking of wine making... anybody here have any experience making wine?

The kit I got for Christmas, is a rather inexpensive kit.
I was thinking of hacking it.

I am contemplating pulling some of the concentrated juice out, and holding it for later..

mixing it for 19 liters (instead of 23 liters) adding some banana, oak chips and raisons to the must, then after stabilizing it just prior to bottling adding back some of the concentrate to sweeten it a bit....

I know this is an odd question to ask here but I suspect someone here will have a good answer...

I'm not looking for perfection here, just a slightly sweet, interesting red for drinking...

you shouldn't need the concentrate later, but the additional sugar at the start will simply mean more alcohol rather than sweetness IMO.

I also got yesterday from a friend of mine who came back from Germany a CD: 'Potentia Animi - Das Erste Gebet'. Its the first edition collectors item with the signatures on the cover.
I was after this one for ages and it is nearly impossible to get them in the UK. That now makes my collection of all CD's from them complete, but he will not tell me how he got to it.
What a friend, THANKS James, you made my year already!
Kind regards
