Warranty turnaround experience

Hi folks

Just wondered if anyone could comment on the usual turnaround for warranty repairs but Pentax please?

I purchased a 60-250 which had to be returned to the retailer after a catastrophic failure. It has been away just over a month. When I make an enquiry I receive a very prompt reply to say it will be chased but no further updates.

I'm now in the position where I will be without my main lens for the final Motorsports event of the year and sadly not in a position to rent or buy a replacement.

If just like to get a feel of how long I should leave it before I ask for a replacement or refund?

About par for Pentax, Johnsons are good, but seem to be left waiting by Pentax for parts......

OP. When you say not in a position to rent a replacement lens, are you aware they SRS offer this service?

Absolutely. Cost is the issue I am only a hobbyist. I guess if I had customers depending on my work I'd rent.
