Sigma - quality? Not in my experience, not unless like a "graunchy" movement.

I understand the 100-300 f/4 lens is rated very highly. I don't own one so can't comment as such but other members of this forum who do have only reported good things

What's your location and budget??

I have that model of lens and prepared to part with it for the right price....be advised the DG retails for £1000-1200

Not that I am a lens expert but this lens has a very good reputation.
But dont take my word for it, read here for some user reviews.

I have this lens and my only negative would be that I only ever use it at the long end, and usually with a 1.4TC attached so the 100-200 bit is possibly a waste if I had the choice again I would just go for a 300 prime.

I also have the 100-300mm f4 (plus a few other "Quality" Sigma lenses) and since buying it have not used my 300mm prime. I like the fact it has 99% of the prime IQ but is so much more versatile.

It also takes the 1.4x and 2x teleconverters very well (and so also makes my Bigma pretty much redundant).

I was willing to sell as I am on the lookout for an F*/FA* prime 300, I find the 70-200 a more versatile lens especially when my standard lens is the DA*16-50...

I would have been happy with £550 pounds but Malc has found one elsewhere....

I keep thinking I should sell my F* 300mm prime as it never gets used.
