I had a similar problem after being asked for a print. My frames were £27 with a double mount and the prints were 16x12 giclee costing £14. If I had to pay a fee of £15 on top then a total cost of £56 would leave me out of pocket also. I didn't charge a lot for the print in the end but be assured when I am dead I am sure they will be sitting on a fortune
I don't know what others charge but it does seem a hard way of making a living unless there is some secret I am not aware of.

I recently entered a competition where the rules state that they do not return the prints. I nagged them until they agreed to return mine! I've never sold a print for profit, I just cover the costs. I'm always amazed anyone other than me wants one of my images on the wall!
