Using Micro-SD cards

Not sure if this is the right place, but it seems best fit.

I've got quite a few high-capacity cards sat about and thought I'd try them in the KP via one of the ubiquitous adaptors. The camera claims that the card isn't formatted when switching on and when I try to format it get a card error message.

Has anyone had success in doing this or is it just that those cards can't be used in cameras?

What's a ubiquitous adaptor? Do the cards work in other devices when using the ubiquitous adaptor?

They work perfectly well in everything else I've used them in, either directly or via an adaptor. But offer them to a KP and they seemingly don't want to know.

If it's one of the UHS-I compatible cards/adapter it should work. SD, SDHC, or SDXC

And there we have the answer, thank you. I changed the adapter for the latest one I had and it's working with all the Micro cards now.
