Hello, to help I think we will need to see an example image, plus the key settings.... ISO, aperture, focal length, and approximate distance from the flash to the subject. Also exactly which lens was used. Plus the mode on the flash and camera. I'm afraid that all of these details will be significant if there is to be a good chance of isolating the problem.

I wonder if anyone can shed any light (no pun intended) on the combination of a Pentax KM dslr and a Metz 24 AF-1P flashgun. When I use the internal flash on the Pentax KM, I get quite good results. When using the external Metz flashgun the results are often disapointing and can be grainy at times! I check that the "o.k" on the mecablitz lights up but still obtain less than satisfactory results! Can some kind soul suggest some settings which will overcome this problem. I have tried various settings without any improvement, hence having to post this topic.
