This lens has been tested by german "fotomagazin " and got a "super" as a result !
It's build quality is quite good ! It's a 2 ring zoom lens and you'll have to look if the mechanics of both zoom- and focus-ring are o.k.
Personmally I didn't like how it feels and stayed with a Pentax A 28-80 then. (Now I'm with AF-gear)

I would be interested to see some results from the ME Super / Tokina combination. I have just bought for £2.50 at an Auto Jumble a Pentax P30 with the Tokina SD 28-70 lens. I my surprise the camera is working( after I repaired the door catch) and the lens is coming back to life.

This is a seriously old thread!
I fear the only way you're going to get some examples of this lens on a film camera is by going out and taking some - it's not exactly thick on the ground and most who do own a copy would more likely be using it on digital rather than 35mm these days.
On a slightly different subject, I've noticed on old threads there are several postings from "Anonymous" and can't help but marvel at the join date of 01/01/1970 - twenty years before the www was born. Kudos for the forward planning!

Interesting comments, so I'll take the advice and take some shots with the 35mm Pentax / Tokina combination. I am interested to see the Zeiss Flektogon 35mm lens in the manual kit bag. Do you have any example of work with this lens? Mike

I also have a Zeiss 35 Flek, it makes a fantastic standard lens on crop sensor digital when I'm not too lazy to work around the metering.
you don't have to be mad to post here
but it does help
but it does help

Just out of interest, I went searching for my first post, sometimes I am just so bored, and discovered it, too, had been posted by anonymous.

Plenty - but all on digital rather than film. A very nice lens if you can get hold of one for a reasonable price - they've gone a bit mad over on eBay the last couple of years (which to be fair has suited me as I've had a few duplicate ones to sell). I'll dig out some samples when I get home. Interesting comments, so I'll take the advice and take some shots with the 35mm Pentax / Tokina combination. So he joined the site 20 years before the web was born and he steals other peoples' identities too? I'm sure there's some sort of sci-fi movie in there somewhere...

One of the nice features about the Flektogon is that it will do a 1:2 reproduction ratio without the need for tubes or other accessories. It's also nicely sharp from wide open and has quite a pleasant bokeh for a "wide" lens.

I've recently acquired the above zoom lens for use with my ME Super. Does anyone have any info/opinions on this lens?
Thanks in advance.
