Thoughts on PLM lens for tracking with a K-3?

I started a thread on the PLM on the Pentax Forums website which I think you may find interesting - especially, in the current context of the K-3, see my experiences in post #255 on page 17 and as some others later reported experiencing similar issues.
in addition, since then, I have also found rather similar issues sometimes arise with this lens on my own K-70
Anyway, I suggest that anyone interested in how the PLM performs on various bodies (right up the FF K1!) should take some time to read through that thread - but be aware that it is already a long thread, and growing quite quickly .

K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

Thanks, off to read that now.

I have this combination (ignore the dated signature), although I don`t have any experience with shooting fast moving subjects with them.
This set was shot with this combo link
Whilst not fast moving subjects, I was separated from the goats by a stone wall with a wire fence topped with all sorts of twigs and brambles. Focusing was accomplished through gaps in the fence / branches.
It amazed me how the lens managed to focus, given the testing conditions. Occasionally focus would lock on a twig or parts of the fence, but a quick re-focus quickly sorted that.
Focus was always lightning quick, and ever so quiet. I would never have come away with a single shot using the old 55-300, in that the hunting and noise would have driven the goats to the next village

Hope is that with the PLM motor this will provide better subject tracking.
Has anyone had experience with this scenario and combo?
Appreciate any thoughts on this.
